Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fort Worth Movie Club?

We’re a casual community of movie lovers who meet monthly to watch a film together and hang out afterwards to talk about it.

Do I have to be a film expert to join?

Not at all! Whether you’re a cinephile or just like a good night out at the movies, you’re welcome here.

How do I join?

Just sign up with your email on our site to stay updated on upcoming events. Then, show up at a screening and hang out after — it’s that simple.

Does it cost anything to join?

Nope. The only cost is your own movie ticket (and whatever food/drinks you want at the hangout). The club itself is free.

Where do you usually meet?

We usually meet at AMC Clearfork for the movie, and then head to a nearby bar or café (like Birdie’s Social Club) for post-movie discussions.

How often do you meet?

About once a month, sometimes more if there’s a big release people are excited about.

How do you pick which movie to see?

We often run polls on Instagram, so members help decide what we watch together.

Do I need to RSVP?

Not required — but we encourage you to sign up for our email list or check socials so we know roughly how many are coming.

What if I show up alone? Will it be awkward?

Not at all! A lot of members come solo. It’s a great way to meet new friends in Fort Worth.

How will I find the group at the theater or bar?

We’ll share meetup details beforehand (time, location, what to look for). Look out for someone in a Fort Worth Movie Club shirt or ask the group hanging out after the movie — we’re friendly!

Can I bring friends?

Of course — the more the merrier.

Are there age restrictions?

Most movies are 18+, and typical hangout spots are 21+, depending on the venue. We’ll make that clear in advance.
